Achievements of Vasundhara
Key Achievements:
Since its registration in 2013, Vasundhara Sanvardhan Seva Sanstha has been actively working in the drought-prone villages of Shevgaon and Pathardi talukas in Ahmednagar district. Our consistent efforts have delivered tangible impact in environmental conservation, agriculture, health, and community empowerment, guided by the motto “Save The World_Save The Earth.Save_The Tree_Save The Water.
Nature Conservation & Tree Plantation Planted over 3,500 native and fruit-bearing saplings across 12 villages and surrounding areas. More than 2,200 saplings have survived and are contributing to increased green cover, improved soil quality, and biodiversity.
Water Conservation & Watershed Development Constructed and renovated 4 water harvesting structures (including farm ponds, check dams, and percolation tanks). These initiatives have helped recharge groundwater and provided supplemental irrigation to more than 150 acres of farmland during dry seasons.
Sustainable Agriculture & Farmer Training Trained 220 small and marginal farmers in organic farming, vermicompost preparation, soil health management, and climate-resilient practices. Over 80 farmers have successfully adopted chemical-free farming, resulting in improved crop yields and reduced input costs.
Health & Nutrition Programs Organized 27 free medical and health camps (general health, eye check-ups, and women’s health), benefiting 850 villagers. Conducted nutrition awareness sessions and sanitation drives that reached 200+ families, improving hygiene practices in target villages.
Women & Youth Empowerment Formed and strengthened 34 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) involving 340 women. Provided skill development training in tailoring, handicrafts, and vermicomposting, enabling many women to generate supplementary income. Conducted personality development and livelihood awareness programs for 220 youth.
Disaster Preparedness & Community Resilience Established village-level disaster management committees in 2 villages and trained 20 community members in drought preparedness, first aid, and emergency response. Distributed relief kits (seeds, fodder, and food) during two drought periods, supporting 105 affected families.
Awareness & Community Mobilization Reached 2,200+ community members through awareness rallies, street plays, school programs, and corner meetings. Successfully linked more than 350 beneficiaries with various government schemes related to agriculture, water conservation, health, and rural & urban
Institutional Strengthening Obtained key registrations including 12A, 80G, CSR (CSR00072940), and NGO Darpan, enabling transparent operations and access to credible funding sources for expanded impact.
