VASUNDHARA stands for Voluntary Action for Social, Urban, Nature, Disaster, Human, Health, Agriculture & Rural Association’s.

The organization works across these 8 integrated focus areas to achieve holistic and sustainable development of rural and urban communities.

1. Social Welfare

Promoting social justice, community harmony, women & youth empowerment, and inclusive development for marginalized sections of society.

2. Urban Linkages

Bridging the gap between rural and urban areas through skill development, livelihood opportunities, and support for migrant communities.

3. Nature Conservation

Environmental protection, tree plantation, biodiversity conservation, water conservation, & creating awareness about sustainable natural resource management.

4. Disaster Management

Building community resilience against natural disasters (drought, flood, etc.), disaster preparedness training, relief work, and rehabilitation programs.

5. Human Development

Enhancing overall human potential through education, awareness programs, personality development, and capacity-building initiatives.

6. Health & Nutrition

Organizing health camps, awareness on preventive healthcare, nutrition programs, sanitation drives, and improving access to basic healthcare services in rural areas.

7. Agriculture & Livelihood

Promoting sustainable farming practices, organic agriculture, soil & water management, crop diversification, farmer training, and enhancing agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.

8. Rural Development

Overall rural upliftment through infrastructure support, village development programs, self-help groups (SHGs), and creation of self-reliant village communities.
